I am a Licensed Associate Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with a Masters Degree in Counseling and 10+ years of experience in counseling and coaching. I have 40+ years of life experience :) and am a mother of two teens.
Rather than conventional talk therapy, I provide EMDR, that works on a physical level to resolve anxiety, OCD, ADHD, unresolved trauma and PTSD. I also provide skills-building therapies, such as DBT for clients to boost confidence and improve mental, emotional and relational well-being.
There are about 20 unprocessed memories responsible for most of the pain and suffering in our lives, as they hold emotions and perceptions, impacting our core beliefs and self-concept.
EMDR THERAPY
As one of the most researched, evidence-based therapy methods to date, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is proven effective for treating PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression and panic disorders.
EMDR facilitates change in brain circuitry similar to what happens in REM sleep — which allows for processing traumatic memories and self-defeating beliefs. I utilize Neurotek and HIPAA Link EMDR for video sessions.

Current day physiological symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, attention-deficit, hypervigilance, panic and other triggered emotions are reduced or completely resolved
EMDR Ripple Effect: processing one memory heals all others of that type. For instance, processing a memory of rejection can heal all experiences of feeling rejected.
DBT: Dialectical Behavior Therapy
DBT is a structured therapy that focuses on teaching four core skills (mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills) to boost oxytocin and serotonin levels and experience a more enjoyable life.
You'll learn these skills in therapy and with lessons, either in a weekly group or online tutorials, and then start applying them to your life.
DBT Core Skills
Mindfulness is the foundational element and starting point in therapy, providing essential groundwork for the other three DBT modules..
Distress tolerance skills help you get through intense emotional pain without making the situation worse. Builds neuroplasticity 'tolerance muscles.'
Emotional regulation involves understanding and processing your emotions, and choosing how to express and respond.
Interpersonal effectiveness help you be more effective at listening and communicating your wants and needs to ensure you feel respected, supported and cared for.
With DBT skills you can quite literally walk yourself through any painful emotion to feel better and empowered.
